Terms and conditions 

Please read these prior to booking to ensure a safe and happy environment for all users.

 

  • ​ Please pick up all poo and take it away with you, we ask you to take it home with you to reduce the risk to our livestock contracting Neospora from the dog poo. There are spare poo bags available in the shelter should you run out or require extra! There is more information on Neospora in the shelter please take the time to read it.

 

  • Failure to pick up dog waste, rubbish or toys will lead to the refusal of future use. If you find anything left by a previous hirer, please pick it up and let us know.  Spot checks take place.
     

  • Please do not approach in your car when there is still a car parked in the secure unloading area, please wait at the bottom of track until they leave. There will be a sign to show where to wait

 

  • Please arrive and depart promptly from your session; anyone who overstays will risk being limited on using the fields in the future. 
     

  • Dogs must regularly be vaccinated, treated for flea, tick and worm prevention.

 

  • Seating has been provided in the shelter and at various points around the paddock, please feel free to use them but not abuse them and report any damage immediately. Please refrain from allowing dogs to jump on the seats especially in wet weather it makes the seats very muddy and unusable.

Manners cost nothing!

 

  • Please respect our neighbours both on the road approaching the field and whilst using the field. Please limit how much your dog barks, if your dog persistently barks it may result in the use of the field being withdrawn.
     

  • ‎We try to offer a fun safe environment for you to relax with your dog. Any disrespectful behaviour will lead to a ban on future use. ‎

  • Users must respect the area and contents. ADULTS & CHILDREN MUST NOT CLIMB OUR FENCES, GATES OR EQUIPMENT. Children are welcome but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Particular care must be taken around the water trough

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
 

  • You are liable for any damage caused inside and outside of the field by you, your dog(s) or any person in your party. All dogs must be covered under their own third party insurance (public liability insurance). This is generally included with your pet insurance or house insurance.
     

  • We cannot be held responsible for any accident, incident, injury or sickness to users of Haytor Mutt Mayhem or their dogs.
     

  • Every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of users and their dogs.
     

  • Yours and your dogs' behaviour and actions are your sole responsibility and no claim can be made against Haytor Mutt Mayhem 

 

  • Whilst the paddock is secure to the best of our knowledge, we cannot guarantee complete security for every dog. Should you find an area of concern please report it immediately to Julie.
     

  • Haytor Mutt Mayhem cannot be held responsible should your dog escape.
     

  • Vehicles are parked at owner’s risk. Haytor Mutt Mayhem cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage or loss incurred to vehicles or their contents and valuables.
     

  • There will be horses in nearby paddocks, if this is of a concern to you please call to discuss prior to booking
     

  • This agreement does not create any rights over the land and clients hiring the field accepts the landowner maintains control and possession of the dog field at all time.

 

Arrival and Departure

 

  • Please park on the track to the left hand side to ensure vehicle access around you until the previous users have vacated the secure unloading enclosure. The track leading up to paddock is single car width so please bear this in mind

 

  • The track is of stone construction and on occasions when we have had significant rainfall it can become uneven so care needs to be taken whilst driving up and down the track
     

  • Please do not block the track as it is used by others with cars, tractors and horses.
     

  • Please gather any items needed from your vehicle before getting your dog/s out and do not remove their lead/harness until you are inside the paddock and the gate closed behind you.
     

  • Never enter the field while somebody else is in it. There is an internal catch to secure yourself in to prevent anyone from entering when you are inside. The internal man gate does have a spring fitted to help prevent the gate from blowing open  
     

  • If the previous user is still in the field when your booking starts, PLEASE CALL JULIE IMMEDIATELY ON 07748452330. Do not approach them in case there is a problem.  
     

  • Once the field is vacated and the previous user has left the parking area, please drive up to the parking area and turn around ready to park and enter through the pedestrian gate.
     

 

  • Do not use equipment in wet or icy conditions as surfaces become slippery.

DOS AND DON'TS
 

  • Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so please take everything home with you at the end of your session. Toys borrowed from the shelter please rinse off under the tap and return to the toy box for the next users
     

  • NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON SITE.
     

  • No grooming anywhere on site.
     

  • Please discourage your dog from digging. Any holes dug must be refilled and reported for safety and security reasons.
     

  • There must always be a ratio of no more than 3 dogs to 1 adult.
     

  • If you wish to share your slot with friends it is your responsibility to ensure that they read and agree to these Terms of Use. Please ensure that all dogs get along before bringing them to the facility.
     

  • Users must ensure the tap is not left running after use.
     

  • Users must report any accident, incident or injury to us immediately by contacting 07748452330.


 

 

DOG WELFARE
 

  • Do not bring your dog to the field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours. Doing so could be harmful to other dogs. This includes but not limited to vomiting, diarrhoea and coughing
     

  • NEVER LEAVE DOGS UNATTENDED IN THE FIELD OR CAR PARK .
     

  • Do not tether your dog to equipment or fencing.

 

PERSONAL DATA
 

  • We require some of your personal data to allow you to book with us. This data is first name, last name, mobile number and Email Address. This data is required to be able to contact you with booking confirmations so you can use the facility. Your data is stored with our online booking system provider.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

If for any reason you are unable to attend your booked slot please inform Julie ASAP. If less than 24hours notice given prior to cancellation then it may not be possible to carry the booking over. If more than 24hours than we will try to transfer your slot to another suitable time and make your cancelled slot available to other users.
